Alben is indicated in single and mixed infestations of- Hookworm (Ancylostoma, Necator) Roundworm (Ascaris) Threadworm (Enterobius) Whipworm (Trichuris) Strongyloides Tapeworm Opisthorchi Hydatid.

Alben is a broad spectrum benzimidazole anthelminthic drug. In addition to its vermicidal properties, it has both ovicidal and larvicidal activities.
